Dear Maple Villlage Families,
We always seem to ramp up right before for the Spring Break wind-down!
This week has been busy. On Tuesday, I led a very large Walk-Through the Classes (ask your students!). We are amazed with the number of applications coming in for early childhood and also for grades. Please remember that on April 1st, we open spots to families not currently enrolled. Our preschool and kindergarten will definitely be full!
Wednesday afternoon, our faculty went through recertification for CPR/First Aide. We all felt very grateful to brush up on our knowledge and skills (and yes, while we take it very seriously, we managed to have some laughs together over mannequins.)

Yesterday, the 4th Grade Manzanitas performed their class play dress rehearsal for grades 3rd - 8th in the morning, soaked in feedback and advice from our oldest students, and then did their final performance last night. The amount of lines memorized and delivered, stage placing, entrances and exits were all very impressive, not to mention the amazing props and dry ice cauldron! Watching these students mature and gain confidence has been such a pleasure. Bravo!
Please remember to submit questions to our Board President, Darshi Balasuriya at darshi.balasuriya@maplevillageschool.org by March 26th in preparation for the State of the School (an email was sent to you about this earlier this week.)
Here is to a safe, joyful and reenergizing spring break for all,
Lisa

Spring Break Childcare & Office Hours
We're excited to announce that we are offering reserved childcare at Maple Village Waldorf School during our two weeks of Spring Break, March 26th to 30th and April 2nd to 6th, 2018. For our first week, Ms. Ciana and Ms. Jewel will be holding the space for our children together. The second week will be Ms. Jewel providing care. As with the last break, they will have activities for the children to participate in such as hooping, jump roping, painting, creating dream catchers and god’s eyes, baking, building, and free play (inside and outside). They will also take a trip to our local green belt for exploring and a picnic.
Our hours for both weeks are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. The office will also be open during this time. Our two programs offered are full day for $60.00 per day ($40 per day for siblings), and half day for $30.00. Half days are anytime during the day for 4.5 hours or less. We will need to know the time frame for our half day children. This will allow for proper planning of snacks, activities and outings.
These spots are reserved and will be billed to you. Drop-ins are welcomed daily if space is available; call ahead to check availability. Please plan ahead and let us know your childcare needs. Reserve you child’s spot early due to limited space.
If you have questions or would like to reserve a spot, please email Pam Villano at business.admin@maplevillageschool.org or call 562-756-9874.
